Being cheated on

He cheated on me when he went away to visit family for a couple months. He said he felt pressure from his family to leave me bc of their religion (living together is a sin) and they wanted him to live near them. He said the woman he cheated on me with, he became friends with and she helped him escape the pressure he was feeling from his family by talking to her. He came back and wants to work things out with me and I wanted to try and work things out. But he's still talking to the other woman because he has separation anxiety and she has been a friend and can't cut connections easily. He says he needs some time to stop talking to her. I don't know what to do. Should I give him time or just try to move on.
