You think I should push my bf to do better we aren't at a great point in life right now. I need a job and a car. He needs a license and a car he already has a job.

I can understand that you're having some problems and you're confused as to if yiu should direct your boyfriend towards doing better since you're not in the best state right now.
I totally understand where you're coming from, I would've been in the same dilemma if I was in your place.
I would suggest thinking on it ans asking yourself what would be the pros and cons of telling him that and what would be the pros and cons of not saying anything. Whichever is of more importance to you, you go with that!
