Hello, hello, hello, hello lovely people!!

Are you insecure in your relationship?

If you are feeling insecure, it is no surprise. It is okay. Feeling insecure is bound to be part of any relationship. Reasons of insecurities can vary. Insecurities are problematic for a relationship. So, here are a few ways which one can apply to minimize the impact of insecurity in the relationship.

#1. Reflect On Yourself.

Before you show and discuss your insecurities with your friend or partner. Identify where the feeling is coming from. Many times, insecurity is due to how one feels about himself. Without paying attention to the cause of insecurity, you cannot fix it.

And when you do not know the cause, discussing and explaining it to your friend or partner can affect your relationship adversely because they do not understand what you explain to them. So, it is necessary to identify the cause and acknowledge it.

#2. Recognize that insecurity might be coming from the past.

Insecurity does not start just like that. Identify and reflect on what might be triggering your worries. Did something happen in past? That might be making you feel insecure even when there is no reason to be. If you have past betrayals or rejections, it feels painful.

You need to work on yourself. Working through your insecurities is one way to make sure you are not repeating the past and helping you heal from those past wounds.

#3. Embrace rejection.

Fear of rejection is one of the root causes of relationship insecurities. So when you stop fearing of rejection, insecurities tend to disappear, When you live a life, it is likely to get rejected.

You cannot stop it. So be open for surprises and live in the moment. When you love someone or befriend, you allowing yourself to be vulnerable. So accept that rejection is part of life.

#4. Speak with your partner, gently.

Insecurities are in your head. Most of the insecurities can be fixed internally. However, when you feel stuck, it is always better to talk to your partner or friend about your emotions.

So talk to them, reflect on why you feeling so and be gentle to listen to their thoughts. They may take some time to come up with a response or a solution. But if they take a bit of time or not able to come up with a solution, it does not mean they do not care for you.

#5. Enlist what you love about yourself.

As we discussed in the first point, relationship insecurities are often more about you than your partner or friend. So, if you think you are lacking in some way and need reassurance they would not leave you.

Then, take time to focus on what you love about yourself. All of those qualities are the reasons they adore you.

I know it is easier said than done. But, at least we can give a try and improve our odds to tackle the insecurities successfully.

I hope you find this resource helpful. Please do share your thoughts.
