How to Fill the Void?

It's been almost two years and everything I do reminds me of him. I've been in several relationships since then, but all I do is think of him and how they aren't him. How can I stop this? Maybe it's because the relationship didn't seem quite finalized....we only broke up because high school got super busy. We've tried to get back together twice before, but now his college location has stopped anything. He seems to have pushed me out of his mind and moved on....but I can't no matter what I do. We were amazing together, and I can't stop thinking of that. Is there a way to fill the empty void that he left in me? I can't become close with anyone else because anything couple related brings back memories of him: he brought out a different person in me and I refuse to show that person to anyone else now. I can't keep getting into relationships to move on, only to have neverending thoughts of him. He's the first person I've ever loved....so how do I move on?

I'm so sorry that oyu feel that there is thi void inside of you, one that doesn't seem like it will be filled for a long time. Relationships can be difficult, they can mean so much and do great things, but they can also have rough patches. It sounds llike your relationship never got the closure it needed, but I believe that you can get through this. Sometimes that means extra self-care and time to focus on yourself, rather than other individuals, other relationships, or even him.
