Long distance relationships
What would be your single best advice for a long distance relationship?
@BelovedStrength
Making time for each other and keeping the lines of communication open:)
Getting as close to real life experiences as possible, since you can end up just feeling like you're talking to text on a screen or something after a while.
And yeah communication too.
@BelovedStrength
Maintain great communication and never let your love and trust fade away :)
(This advice is for ldr couples that haven't met up yet and developed their relationship online)
One piece of advice I'd give is to make sure you're on the same path in life. I learned that in my five year relationship that love isn't enough, you need to have common goals. If there is really no future plans to meet up or it would be too much of a financial or physical difficulty, it's not going to work out (its even worse when you're not in the same country, WAY too expensive to move and then leave everything behind). It's something that should be discussed sooner than later, as it becomes much more difficult to think about as you grow to love each other. Prepare for lots of pain, sadly most ldrs don't work out or get to the point where you meet up. This is one of the major reasons why.
I'm not in the same country as my LDR partner, I flew for my first time out of the country to go spend 8 days with her and it was absolutely amazing. We've only been talking 3.5 months and I've been back now for almost a month, and I would happily leave everything behind to go live with her when I'm financially ready or continue to work on a way for her to come live here because she would love to anyways and then we can spend the rest of our lives together. 🙌🏼😁 I pray! I think God sent me her for a very special reason and because she is just such a truly special person
Have a shared goal and always find and make time for each other.
