Really heartbroken

Ok. So there's this girl that I've been in love with for several months. She's smart, kind, beautiful, talented, and has an amazing personality. We have almost everything in common. Nobody has ever had a crush on me, and I don't have any real friends except her. I've never met somebody I connect with so well, and she's really nice to me. She was acting like she may have had a little crush on me, and we went to a concert recently which felt a lot like a date (but it wasn't.)We're pretty new friends, but she's playfully said "you're great" and " I love you". And then, the other girl came along. This other girl had asked her out before and been turned down. But the girl I like said it was a tough decision. Well, last night, the other girl asked her out again. And now they're dating. And I'm totally crushed. I don't know how far away the other girl lives, but I think she lives in the same area as us. She's very beautiful (and I'm really not), but she does have a lot of baggage just like the girl I like. That's why she was turned down the first time. I've never had any luck with crushes, and while all my friends date I'm left to wonder what's so wrong with me that drives people away. I want to remain friends with the girl, so I can be there when they break up, but I don't know if I can stand to hear about their relationship. It might be too painful to be around her now. I don't know what to do :(

I know it hurts to see the one person that you love so much date someone else, but I am sure that there is someone out there for you :) even if you haven't found them yet I am sure you will. :) I don't think you should avoid your friend because it will hurt so much more watching her from a distance and not even being able to talk to her. Even if it hurts when you stay beside her I am sure your relationship won't chage because you two are good friends. :) It's always better to at least be able to talk to her than not being able to face her at all. :) Hoping the best for you :D

@Snowflake143 Thank you very much :) I hadn't been talking to her much, but I reached out and we're probably going to go see a movie when I return from vacation

I'm sorry that you have to go through this. It is definitely hard watching the person that you love with someone else. Though, I don't think you should abandon the relationship because that might be more hurtul for you since this girl means so much to you. You might even find someone else that you can be with! Keep your hopes up and focus on yourself :) Take care, I hope everything goes well for you!
