Full honesty. 100% transparency. However, the way to convey that honesty is very important. Don't sugarcoat anything, but at the same time you have to express that honestly in a sincere manner.

Exactly! Being able to convey the truth appropriately in various situations takes a lot of skill.

I appreciate honesty a lot as long as its honesty that is phrased not-hurtfully. I think if two people are in a relationship of any kind, they owe it to each other to be transparent and honest but also responsible enough to phrase these "honest things" in a way that doesn't hurt the other person.

Yes, I believe that two people in a relationship should be transparent with one another but I feel that we also have an obligation to them to say it the right way- We have no right to hurt the other person with our honesty. I think it's really important, but it doesn't give you the go ahead to be mean or rude.
But do think it's very important to talk about your wants and needs with people you care about

@Madaraismyspiritanimal yes honesty is extremely important in a relationship. I am always honest with my fiance, except at this time we are silent with each other 😭
I like honesty. Some people hide their rudeness behind "just being honest" or "I'm blunt" or "you're too sensitive", and that's not cool. But honesty in a way that considers emotions - even "tough love" can still consider how someone feels - is nice. Empathy / compassion goes a long way when paired with honesty
@Lexloveslife Well said my friend! Empathy and compassion should go hand in hand with honesty. I think we could get a lot more accomplished this way to be honest. Most of the time when people are honest, they are mean about it- At least that has been my personal experience with the matter. I am a fan of honesty, but what a minefield. Does this make look fat? I think the biggest thing is not being ae to take criticism.

I think there are certain things both people in a relationship need to be honest about. If someone is keeping a secret that could hurt the relationship I don't think that's a good idea. I think if it becomes a long term relationship you'll naturally feel like you can be more honest around them anyways.

Honesty is important in every relationship and not just the one that we have with our partners, significant others, etc. Because it forms the base of that relationship. So, if you happen to fall short being honest with that person you are surely risking your own relationship with them as it is that the truth(in any matter) comes out anyway whether you reveal it or hide it. Having said that, I believe being truthful every time is how much we must be honest in any given relationship.
