Remembering relationships too negatively?

I have had very little sex and romance, and now I've gone a long time without either. Even though I enjoyed some of it while it was happening, my lingering feelings are all negative because the relationships didn't last. I even forgot some of the stuff that was good.

I feel like none of it meant anything. They must not have cared about me or enjoyed being with me, because the relationships ended so badly.

Is this common? Is it part of a mental illness or personality disorder? Is it true? Is it because I'm sexually deprived? I'm probably a demisexual; am I just disappointed because it wasn't love?

I want to have a positive attitude about myself and to make good choices with my future, but I'm not sure what to do with these feelings.

@YellowComfort

Hi there! There is nothing wrong with not having an active sexual or romantic life. Many people have lots of relationships that don't last too, and it is normal to remember the negative parts of a relationship more vividly than the positive parts. Of course, just because your past relationships ended badly, doesn't mean the other person wasn't interested or invested. There could be many reasons why they ended badly. Here is a self-help guide that might be useful for mamaging your relationships with others, romantic or otherwise:

Boundaries self-help guide: https://www.7cups.com/boundaries/

Most importantly, you don't need to be in a relationship to be happy. You're strong and capable on your own, and you can be happy with all the good in your life :-). Stay awesome, take care, and be yourself <3
