At what point do you normally feel worse after a break up after the initial few days...

1 week ? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? A month? 2 months?

I just wondered really.

@Browneyedgirl26

For me, I think that it takes about 4 days for it to begin getting to me - but that's not always the case. Sometimes, like if it was a short-term relationship or things just weren't working out between us, it hurts for the first few days and then it goes away. I guess it's just situational for me.

@Browneyedgirl26 I think it is different for guys and girls. Girls feel it immediately for the first few weeks, depending on the relationships. Then within a few months, they are okay. With guys, they are okay after a few days, but sometimes after a few months they will feel it. It all depends on the person!

@VanessaD92 hmmm well my boyfriend and I broke up after five years together and in my opinion it was a shocker but he hasn't spoken to me in two months... I am trying to leave him alone but it breaks my heart.

@Browneyedgirl26 it's understandably hard. Five years is a very long time and a very big chunk of your life. There is no magic bandaid for the pain and unfortunately all that helps is time. Do your best to stay busy and surrounding by those you care about :)
