ADHD and our relationship

So my boyfriend (1.5 year of dating, he’s 30 and I’m 27) has ADHD which I am very aware of and am trying to learn more about, but he does not like to admit that it’s an issue and still has negative stigma attached.

The biggest thing it’s affecting is our communication, which to me is THE biggest thing. Right now he’s on a boys vacation and not doing a good job at communicating or staying in tough. And I get it he’s on vacation, but I do not feel loved by him this week because of him leaving me in read and ignoring texts. He’s not making me a priority and not making time to talk to me or engage in conversation and it’s really hitting me hard. I get so upset by it sometimes after overthinking and my relationship shop anxiety lets in intrusive thoughts and I’m like “I’m done, this isn’t fair, I deserve a bf who responds to my texts”, but also that’s a bit dramatic, because I love him.

This is an ongoing issue and it hurts me and makes me feel like I’m not important or a priority and I don’t know how to communicate that to him.

By definition a vacation with the boys ....his buddies they do not respond to every text and if they did and others know the razzing would be endless.

I think if a relationship is strong you should be able to go a week with little or no communication and not panic and stress about it....if it is ongoing I see it in many many relationships and has nothing to do with ADHD.

You should ask yourself why this bothers you so much?

Just because it is possible why do so many EXPECT an instant answer to any form of communication........... Being in LOVE does not give either partner a choke collar and short leash on the other person if this is a big issue i can tell you life has many many other things that are worse if you cannot handle a boys week you will not handle real crisis.
