ADVISE REALLY NEEDED

So it all started when we were basically kids we went to the same preschool I had a big crush on him back then and we were basically best friends but sooner or later we moved on to the elementary school and we didn’t see each other for some years but midway I changed schools and we were yet again together in the same school but we didn’t talk much because there Just wasn’t any good opportunity but because I transferred in my last year we soon went camping with the whole last year class so we ended up talking together a lot while also having a lot of fun and after that we went together to the same highschool and at the beginning of highschool we also had camp together with the whole first years so we talked and had fun yet again but after that we didn’t see eachother much because he was in a different class which meant we didn’t have breaks at the same time etc and I was way too scared to ask his number or something like that so we ended up losing contact with each other but I started working as a food delivery and after a while I saw him yet again he worked as a cashier at a fastfood restaurant so when I said I have a delivery for ### after he took it he asked if I still remember him from the all the schools right so I panicked because I was quiet happy that he remembered because I still had a crush on him even after all these years but like usually I panicked and said “I really don’t remember anymore “ I was so depressed after I said that I really don’t know if i should just give up at this point or not because we ended up taking the same extra classes and we kind of see each other atleast once a week for 3 hours but he’s always with his friends so I’m way too scared to approach him but they will end in 2 months so can someone advise me if I should just give up or try to clear up the situation or just confes?? I really don’t know anymore 😭😭😭😭
