So I'm currently going through a divorce and had been with this guy for 8 years I recently decided to go out and meet new people and I met a guy and ended up meeting him in person originally I had said I wasn't looking for anything serious and looking to basically make friends and open to see where that goes at a snail like pace but while meeting up with him he asked if we could make out and I said no I wasn't looking for that but as time passes I almost regret saying it mentally I feel like it's a bad idea but I also feel really attracted to him and really want to were supposed to meet tomorrow and I'm tempted to say yes but I don't know if I should (I've only been intimate with my ex) I feel myself overthinking it but I also just wanna go for it I've never been in this kind of situation and don't know if it's valid to even be considered or just a bad idea all in all he gives hints whenever we hang out advice pleaseeee

Hi! I think you have done a great job at setting boundaries for yourself. You seem to be listening to your gut on what you're ready for and what you aren't. If you decide to meet up with this new guy today, let him know where you stand before anything starts, physically or emotionally. I've been married for 10 years, and I could only imagine how you might be feeling after being with the same person for so long. I think your snail's pace is a good idea. Always take care of yourself first. If this guy doesn't want to hang out and wait for you, that's ok too. Set your boundaries and respect your decisions because if you don't, he won't either. Good luck!☺️
