Broke up but still together?
Hey y’all, I need some help figuring out what to do here. I was with my partner for 3 or so years before we broke up at the beginning of the year. We had some space but due to me having to rely on them for rides and help with rent on our shared apartment, we stayed in constant contact. They started sleeping over and now basically have moved back in. We say love you and i get compliments and vice versa but they don’t want to be in a relationship. I’m going to be moving in with them and their parent in a couple months to save money and then we planned to move away in separate apartments together. They didnt want the pressures a relationship causes and just wanted to put them selves first. I dont know what to do, i love them! And my gut tells me to stick it out and just work on myself until their ready. We also have two dogs and are 21 y/o. Help!!
Hi @selfdisciplinedPond2088 From my shoes, it seems as if you both want a relationship but want to better yourself before doing so. I think you should work on bettering yourself and your life until you are at a place where you and them feel mature and ready to enter back into a relationship again. It sounds like you two are great for each other and have a positive relationship so I think it would be best to wait. If you two enter back into a relationship too early, It might fracture the relationship and clearly, it's not something you both want. I say stick with your gut and do what you feel best. Cheers!
