My boyfriend cheated on me almost 2 years ago. When I found out he lied to my face about it. Blamed me for it. Even though he hasn't cheated on me since I caught him he is still lying to my face about the cheating. Everytime we talk about he brings up new reasons why he cheated. He says he wants to worth things out and make things better but he's still lying. And Im still hurt over his cheating. What do we do?

Personally I don't think cheaters should not be forgiven especially whereas they don't accept their mistakes and repent and continously keep defending themselves. I would like to suggest u to focus on your own happiness. Think in a calm mind what makes u happy and follow that. Hope for your best <3

I feel like I've been (or am still) in your position and I feel for you. My ex and I were together for 2 years. Towards the end I found out he cheated on me a year ago. And lied about it every.single.time. I had my suspicions but he denied it all and gaslit me so hard I actually felt bad for accusing him of it. Even when I had the proof, he still tried to hide it. Instead he turned the table around and blamed me for snooping around and even dared tell me to go k*ll myself

After he cooled down from that episode, we got to talking and decided to just see where things could go from there. I wasn't ready to let him go. He seemed genuinely apologetic and I thought he really came clean about everything. A month later, I found out he was actually on dating apps messaging other girls the entire relationship.

I'm not saying all cheaters will always be cheaters. I do believe in second chances and people changing for the better. But he has to WANT to change for himself. Not you.

I feel like you probably know him best. So really analyse if he even is a good guy. Is he someone who strives to be the best he can be. Does he truly believe you deserved more than what he did.

I know it's not easy coming face to face with the truth, trust me. I'm still trying to get through it.

But just know that you are worthy of pure genuine love. And I wish you all the best.
