Cold Feet
Hello!
background - I’ve been with my fiancé since June 2018. We share a rental together and have a cat (my angel❤️).
now I’m not one to play the victim or claim in innocent, but my fiancé is bipolar (un medicated by choice) and a heavy alcoholic, compulsive liar and narcissist. He has punched holes in walls, doors, broke many things we own and screamed for no reason at all - almost like a toddler tantrum. He changed his ways and became so much better! Now we have recently moved and he’s changing back already. Even now I just said I was going to curl up to sleep soon (5 minutes ago) and now he is shouting at me calling me a liar and worse all because I’m not asleep.
we are due to get married next year and I really don’t know if it’s what I want. He tells me he doesn’t love me and I’ve said the same as I’m losing faith. But it is ALWAYS my fault, all I’ve done tonight is come home and he’s accusing me now of cheating. I’m so confused but I feel like I can’t leave. Any advice?
@LittleMe96 Alcohol says stupid things. People who abuse alcohol say fewer stupid things when sober, but since they have the tendency to try and sooth their feelings with alcohol they don’t learn a lot of skills to act more like adults. So how will things change in the future if they are not on a path to change now? Of course you have cold feet, and you know what would warm them, but if you asked for that would you get it? If you got it, would it come freely or with a cost?
