He is pulling away. Help

A guy I've been seeing for 2.5 months is pulling away. We both met online and we started dating on zoom everyday for about two weeks before we met in person. He initiated most of the zoom sessions, I did a few. When we met had an amazing time. We met 4 times after that and he did meet my parents and things seemed to flow very well.

He is Indian and he left to go to India for 1.5 MO and since he left to India he's slightly disengaged. He initiated most meetups for the first two weeks with me initiating a few. After which I've been doing all the initiating and him rejecting most zoom meetups. He doesn't call me at all. His family had gone through covid which took time to recover.

Every time I ask him about us he says he is interested in me and wants to continue pursuing qnd I have mentioned we need to spend more time together. He understands and says he will. I haven't met his parents and he isn't opening up much. He also stopped flirting with me.

He's still not initiating but replies to all my messages. Is he starting to become disinterested? What do I do? He's also started working again from India due to covid.

Is he just genuinely busy?
