Ive been talking to this guy consistently since summer last year. we live p far apart so our relationship was very online. he had a tendency to kinda go ghost on me for a lil bit when dealing w personal life things. it was starting to get to me and it seemed like an issue that kept reoccurring more frequently as family issues n such were taking up a lot of his time and feelings. he suggested a break for a bit so he can deal w personal things without having to not be able to give me what i need. we quickly reconnected a month ish after the break when i asked if this was permanent or not , he told me no which is truthfully what i wanted to hear but once again was being difficult with communication and didn’t tell me how i could help him, or what he expected from me. in a moment of anger i blocked him, which i know isn’t right but i later unblocked. fast forward 2 weeks ago he agreed to talk about what’s going on between us over the phone …..(spoiler he hasn’t answered). but it’s rly difficult to move on… a part of me feels like i should take his silence as a hint and move on, but what if this is a temporary thing in his mind? i could reach out again… but truthfully i feel a bit pathetic constantly being the one to reach out to him…he’s told me he feels rly guilty abt hurting me before and it’s why it’s so difficult to talk abt what’s going on to me… which i understand but is frustrating. do i just take a hint? or bug him again😂

Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. I understand you care and love this person, but it's very important to not ignore the red flags on your situation. A relationship requires closeness on order to properly function, and unfortunately he's not able to handle closeness. It's rude and disrespectful the way he kepts disappearing, and then coming back as if nothing happens. This behavior will put you in a fearful and anxious state, and then it will make you go after him on order to soothe yourself.

He also cannot handle the closeness that comes with sharing he feels, it will often make him shut down. You should want someone who will share how they feel here and there, without constantly asking for breaks. This relationship feels like you are investing far more than him, so this will cause it to become unbalanced. He's someone that is impossible to have a healthy relationship with...i hope you are able to make a decision that best fits you.
