How do you deal with loneliness and sexual frustration when you're undateable?

Any help, please?

I discovered that the biggest cause of my loneliness was not loving and believing in myself.

Just to add, of course loving and believing in yourself doesn't totally solve the desire, but it definitely massively helped my loneliness and made the yearning hugely easier to bear.

@Clio9876 But there's nothing about me to believe in - OK, I can hold a tune on the guitar, but other than that I'm completely useless

I believe in you because you are angry and frustrated right now. This makes you human. And normal. And humans have this wonderful ability to make changes to their lives.

The fact that you are sharing indicates that you want change. That anger or frustration will provide the energy to achieve change. Of course you don't know how to achieve the change right now. But that doesn't change the fact of my belief that you can.

Also. I believe I am an OK person. I might do things that are not OK. Things that I regret, or am embarrassed about. But these things I might do, do not change the fact that I'm an OK person deep down inside. Because I am human and it is human to make mistakes. And because I believe that, I see that everyone else is essentially an OK person too. They too might do things that are not ok. Because they too are human and it is human to make mistakes. But that does not mean they are fundamentally flawed. It just means that they are human like me.

It is OK to be angry. Some people are given a harder path to walk. And that's not fair.

@Clio9876 You're right, it's not. I'm on the spectrum, so I struggle to focus on mundane tasks, and need the things I find fun (e.g. guitar, gaming, my favourite TV shows, films, franchises, etc) to stimulate me and help me function, hence why I suck at life.

If you don't believe that you are worthy of love, then you'll never receive it. Love may find you, but since you've decided you're not deserving of love, you may reject it because of your false belief. No one is undateable(unless they're a complete total murderous menace or SA's people or something extreme like that). You just need a confidence boost so that you can feel the love you deserve to feel.

I also saw your one-line journal post and I just want you to know that I'm happy that you weren't aborted. Every life is a blessing and I promise it gets better. I'm praying for you, man.

@GlisteningEmbers Who would want to date a weird 38-year-old man who still lives with his mum (well, technically she lives with me now because she doesn't work anymore), works part-time,  lacks drive, is too laid back, and is *** at everything? I haven't decided anything, it's just what is, and I can't change who I am, as much as I would like to. I've just worked out in the past couple of years that I'm on the spectrum, and it sure explains a lot lol

And I've been waiting a long time for things to get better, but they haven't, if anything it's just gotten worse. And if it wasn't for my mum, I wouldn't give a **** what happened to me.

When all else fails, God heals.

I promise you that once you put God first in your life and put your faith in Jesus, all else will fall into place. God has a plan for you and I promise you it'll get better.

You never have to apologize for your skepticism. I was a skeptic, too, before Jesus saved me.

The thing about God is that he gives us just enough proof to deny him, or accept him. That's our choice.

Another thing is that you can't be 100 percent sure anything in this world exists. How do you know you're 100% not having a dream right now?

Science doesn't determine 100 percent certainty that God exists. It doesn't measure love or trust or community. That's the thing about having faith. My faith is based on evidence, not proof. There has never been a time where I've called on Jesus's name and he has not come to my rescue. The world will tell you Jesus was just a man and God is just a myth, but it's just simply not true. All life points to a creator, a loving and just creator who gives us the choice between going to Heaven or not.

I promise you that God will help you through whatever you're facing. The people that Satan has simply do not struggle because they are comfortable and they don't need a savior. Life with Jesus is no easier than life without him, but it's SO much more fulfilling. Jesus doesn't ever expect perfection from us. We aren't perfect. We fall into sin. Jesus paid the price of eternal damnation for US because he truly LOVES us and he redeems all that reach out to Jesus.

Jesus is always there for you. Satan is also always there for you. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The Bible has all of the answers for you, right at your fingertips. All you have to do is seek Him.

I'll be keeping you in my prayers, my brother.

Additionally, no one can change by themselves. We do what we can, but Jesus fills in the gaps we can't fill.
