I’m in love with my best friend
Recently I’ve had really strong feelings towards my best friend, but it could never happen, and I hate that. I don’t want to ruin our friendship at all, but part of me wants her to know how I feel about her. Maybe I just feel this way about her because she’s the only girl I really talk to, or because she’s the only person that actually shows me care and attention, I don’t know. But I just want to be with her 24/7, telling her how much I love her. I know this isn’t mutual either, so that sucks. How can I get over this?
I’ve been in this same situation going on two years now. It is very difficult no doubt about it. There have been multiple times I’ve wanted to just let my feelings out to them, but knew if I would it would risk everything. The best I can say is keep your head strong, find things to distract yourself, and seek out other potential partners. All of which are understandably very difficult when all you can think about is her. But unfortunately it’s really all that you can do if you don’t want to potential lose what y’all already have.
Yeah you’re right. I just need to accept that it is going to be difficult and there isn’t going to be a better situation that involves her. It’s disappointing but there’s no choice.
That’s really great advice, but the thing is. I literally have nothing to lose. If he knows my feelings maybe it’ll get somewhere. And if it doesn’t I just want him to know that somewhere there is a girl who really likes him and maybe just maybe he’ll be more curious. If I never text him he’d never know I exist. I just figured I’d take my chances yk. Well now he does, negatively maybe but he knows I exist.
