Inexperience in dating
Look. This is a little embarrassing. I'm 22 years old. And I have virtually 0 dating experience. I've been in 2 relationships in my life and they were both super short awkward flings in high school. And both those times they had to make the first move on me. And then covid nuked my dating life in my 20s because I live with compromised parents and I wouldn't put them at risk. Now I'm a young adult and I have no idea what I'm doing. I feel scared because I don't know even basic stuff like when to make moves with someone. I feel like me being so new to everything is just gonna scare people my age off. Has anyone gone through anything similar? How did you figure things out?
@Nonameneccesary Hey, I've been through very similar, didn't get into a 'serious' relationship until I was 27, before that being largely alone, aside from, like you, the odd (as in 2 people) very very short lived 'flings'. I also remember being self conscious of whoever I was interested in later in my life finding me 'weird' for (in my opinion) being so late to the game (also I had little experience in dates, affection etc etc) but it turns out people don't care when they like you, it's not something that's ever actually hindered me in being with someone now (I'm 30). If someone is interested in you and you like them, you don't need to worry about how to act, there is no distinct way you HAVE to behave in order to be with someone (of course just be kind lol), literally just be you, as cliche as that sounds, it really is that simple. You don't need to feel self conscious about what you have or haven't gone through because it just doesn't matter, these things aren't hard to learn and you don't score points in life. People are gonna adore you for you! Good luck! Also, just wanna say, you're in your early twenties, you're so so young, I remember being like you thinking I was so delayed but you're just not, everyones path is different and that's what makes life interesting... you're young and free and have so much time to go, it's all good and you're doing amazing!
Now there are a lot of different dating sites. But each has its disadvantages and advantages. I was single for a long time and was looking for a suitable dating site for me.
