@EmpathyS valuing her and treating her well is how a partner is supposed to be treated. What's the alternative? Treating her bad? The whole "women like men who treat them bad" is an argument some men made up to excuse their bad behavior, but why would a person ever want to be treated bad? And is that what you would want for her? I truly hope you keep valuing her and don't let your insecurities ruin this chance of happiness you have

@Aayla it's just my friends who are putting those thoughts in my mind by saying bro you care for her too much remember women don't like men who care tfor them. Too much etc  though i m ready to work on myself and kill my insecurities but my past traumas feul this insecurities when they say such things idk 🥲

@EmpathyS Sounds like you need better friends. Toxic masculinity is not cool.

@EmpathyS a better way to deal with this would be to talk to your partner and figure out what she looks for in a relationship. You shouldn't trust your friends' words more than hers, when it comes to knowing what she looks for.
Also, "women don't want someone who cares for them" is an illogical statement per se. Why would a person ever want to be mistreated? Women may end up in such relationship for a variety of reasons but I guarantee you no one wants to be neglected or mistreated.

I’m a woman but I’m LGBTQ. Regardless, respect is important in every relationship.
