She ghosted me after she got fired
I asked a girl out who I worked with for a few months. I asked her out while we were working together which in hindsight wasn't the best idea. She said no but only because she didn't want to complicate things at work which I totally understood. I knew that and asked her anyway because I like her much that I wasn't willing to risk it. She said that she would go out with me without hesitation if we didn't work together.
So about a month later, I made a mistake at work involving wrecking a customers vehicle and got fired from it. This was not on purpose as I did like my job. But this unfortunate circumstance led to an opportunity to finally ask out my crush. So I came by work and asked her in person because she was having phone trouble (more on that later) and before I even finished speaking she said yes. I was pleasantly surprised, and distracted enough that I didn't ask when we should go out. But she did give me her sisters phone number. Her sister who works at the same dealership but in a different position and whom she lives with.
So I texted her sister to let her know that I was coming to pick up her sister (my date) Sunday at 6pm. She said ok and gave me there address. When I got there, my girl was surprised to see me saying "How did you get this address?" I said that her sister gave me your address. But apparently her sister didn't tell me girl that I was coming, maybe just assuming that a date had been set and that her sister knew that I was coming. But still, we rescheduled for the following day at the same time. I had to reschedule that due to the stormy weather and because of the area she lives is off the beaten path so to speak and the roads going there are not good if the weather is bad.
So I texted her sister and my girl got back to me the following day saying she was sorry for not getting back to me sooner and that talk about going out when it gets closer to the end of the week. Well, that would be the last time I heard from her or her sister.
About three days later, I heard from a friend from the dealership that my girl had gotten fired from her job. I was surprised yet not shocked as her attendance wasn't the best because of things like car trouble and getting food poisoning that put her and her sister out of work for a week. But still, I offered to give them a ride previously even though it was out of my way.
I tried texting her sister asking to speak to my girl, but no response. I tried a second time, no response. I'm sure that she was embarrassed and angry from losing her job so I figured she needed a little time to breath. I left her alone for a good before I decided to write her a good old fashioned letter as any attempts to add her to my socials wasn't successful.
As I touched on earlier, her phone wasn't working and it still wouldn't receive calls or texts. It would say message can't be sent. So anyway, I wrote her a letter detailing the fact that I missed her and just wanted to talk with her not just about what happened but just to see how she was doing. I even sent her a cheap TracFone in the mail so that she could use it as a temporary phone to communicate with until her main phone gets fixed.
From the time of this writing it's been four days since I sent the letter and over two weeks of no contact. So my question is what did I do to make her ghost me like this? A part of thinks that her sister might have screwed me over, because she would read my messages but never respond with a simple ok I'll let her know or anything. I always got the suspicion the sister never liked me or perhaps is protective of her younger sister.
So should I just let this go and move on or try something else like going to her house without warning to see her? I don't see that going well but I would like to know anyone's thoughts on the matter. Because I still think about her a lot, and not seeing or even speaking is making me very depressed. Please help.
