Texting Habbits

Basically I've known this girl since school we dated 3 years ago for a couple weeks where she apparently ended things due to her mental health. She has text me a few times since but has dissapeared as soon as she's appeared. Which again she puts down to her mental health.

Skip to beginning of July. She started texting me a lot. I was in a complicated situation so I wouldn't reply much but she kept going and appolagising for coming and going saying it was a huge mistake breaking up with me and she's regretted it ever since. I was hesitant but entertained it at a distance. Now I'm more interested her texting style is a bit strange she would message me long detailed texts then I'd reply a couple hours later or before bed then usually a day would pass I'd get a reply saying something along the lines of "Sorry lovely been doing a load of night shifts I'll text back properly later 😘 xxx" then get a similar text after another day with another excuse then she would reply properly in detail.

We met up for the first time in 3 years Saturday had an amazing time... she lives 2.5 hours away so we went back to a hotel and yeah. There was a lot of tension that needed releasing after 3 years 😂. We continued to have a great time through the Sunday. She was very affectionate.

Told me to text her when I got home. I text her the Sunday night she Replied Monday around 5 saying "Hey lovely ☺️ Glad you decided to stay at your sister’s last night and break the journey up a bit ☺️ What have you been up to today? ❤️ I’ll reply properly on my break later as I’m just getting ready to head back to work now 😫😴 Thank you for such a lovely weekend 🥰 xxxx"

I text back a couple hours later and haven't received a reply since. She hasn't even read it. I text her again later just making sure she's OK and sent a picture of the two of us together to cheer her up as I know she struggles with the night working.

I guess I get a bit worried due to her past flakiness. Does anyone else know other people who are a bit like this?

My previous relationships we would text through the day so it's going to take a bit of adjustment to get used to.

Surely being in the honeymoon period she should want to text me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Could it be that with her history of mental health problems, her busy job life, and any other factors, that she is having challenges in communicating effectively with you? Have you brought this up to her to see how she feels? I wouldn't say that being in the honeymoon phase doesn't really say that she should be texting you more. The fact that she is making time to reply to you throughout her day no matter how long or short says something.
