Uncertainty
Hey,
I have been talking to this guy who is my friend from an acting/comedy group I'm in. I asked him to hangout one on one, first to go for a walk, and then to offer him a ticket to a festival. He seemed to flirt with me, like trying to move close to me and hold my hand, but I also always message him first and he hasn't tried to ask me to hangout. I am not sure if maybe he's shy or he's not sure how he feels about me. It's very early, but I hate the uncertainty and want to more directly find out if he's interested or I feel like I'm going to explode from the sexual/romantic tension lol. I don't mind taking the initiative at first if he is interested, so I may ask if he wants to hangout again and even kind of ask him to watch something together to see if he's comfortable being more physical.

@Daydreamer47 I think I've definitely decided to message him tomorrow to ask him to hangout next week and watch a tv show that he likes. That way I can try to have a more one-on-one space to ask if he's interested and feels comfortable cuddling or kissing. We are in a mutual friend group so I don't want to go through more group gatherings where we kind of flirt but things are unclear since I have mutual friends and want to keep seeing them.

That makes sense--things have felt promising but they're kind of murky or ambiguous. Like it's not clear if he's romantically interested or not, or whether the fact that he isn't initiating things is just because he's a bit shy. It would be nice to know how he feels and get things in motion.
That sounds great messaging him and trying to create that private, 1-on-1 space where you can talk with him, explore things, and create opportunities for physical intimacy without having to worry about other people being around. That's exciting and I hope it goes well. 😊
