What is this?
For the past 5 months me and a close friend have been growing more and more feelings for eachother as the months pass. We have kissed many times but nothing more and it is clear we have feelings there for eachother. However, he has told me on many occasions although he wants to he can't be with me and makes a different excuse everytime (he's "broke" it off 3 times now but we immediately go back to how we were). We can't help but be drawn to eachother and find comfort in eachother. I think I'm at a stage now where I think I love him because I have attachment anxiety when away from him and miss him when not together. I'm just confused because he says he wants to be freinds but then is always flirting and initiating kisses. Either way he's such a close friend who understands me the most that I cant imagine life without him but I want more than a friendship. I'm just lost on what to do and feel it's taking a toll on my now. Any advice?

Hey there, hopefully you are doing well.
I understand how tough this relationship can be, and it's quite normal the way you feel about this person. I get the impression you have developed deeper feelings for him, while he has not felt the same way you do. This is very similar to a dance, where one person wants everything and has invested a lot (you), while the other person seems to not be in the same page as you (him). This will often cause one side to want it more than the other, and it will make you feel often confused because of the way he sometimes reciprocates your feelings.
You want to be more than friends which is understandable, however he doesn't seem to want a relationship. This is where you have to think what's really important for you; wanting someone who's willing and able to be in a relationship with you or being/attempting to be with someone who will never be able to give you what you want. The choice is yours.
@purpleLunch4252 If he isn't clear in his boundaries with you then he doesn't respect yours either.
