Am I too dependent?
So there is this really good friend of mine that I opened up to about my personal struggles a few months ago. Thanks to her I've confided in more people and she's loved me when I didn't love myself. Our friendship has grown so much over a short amount of time, but I'm constantly worried that she'll abandon me. I know I should trust her because she's my friend and she truly cares about me, but I'm constantly seeking validation and words of acceptance from her because I'm worried that I could do or say something wrong and she'll drop me and never want to talk to me again. It doesn't help that she's moving really far away soon, and alot is changing. So what I'm asking is, am I being to dependent on her? Am I being too needy and clingy? And if so. What should I do? I love her so much, and the last thing I ever want to be is a bad friend to her.

You sound like a good dude: sensitive, caring and loving. These are all great characteristics. What it sounds like to me is you are overthinking this situation, you are creating something in your mind that doesnt necessarily exist. We all do it and its easy to do, especially if you are a sensitive individual. I have done this in the past and ended up driving the person away not because of asking for support but thinking I was not supposed to and feeling bad for it. This makes people feel a bit uncomfortable because they are genuinely trying to help.
Most people like giving advice or support because honestly, it takes their mind off of their own problems, which is great for both. Also, if you feel bad that she is moving away, think of it as a chance to grow for you both, its healthy. I know the physical presence of someone is superior but she is only a call or text away, thats still something.
