I can relate to this, my best friend of many years recently moved to Singapore, I remember feeling completely gutted because selfishly she was going to experience a whole new life, and I wouldn't know any of it, we have spent our whole entire lives transitioning the next stages together, and now, I've never not been in her life, I've never not known where she lives or who she works with, its still very strange to me.

I'm thrilled she is living her dream, and i do sometimes feel left aside, but what friend would I be if I wasnt happy for her?

We do spend time on face time, and we still message several times a day, we are still active in our friendship, just not physically. You can make it work if your friends moves on, friendships are like that, they usually survive life changes, don't ever forget, friends may be apart in distance, but never spart in heart.

I think its normal to feel this way. You think you might loose your best friend due to distance. I don't think that him working in another company is a factor of your friendship. You both supporting each other should be able to make it survive. Support and encourage him to take this step that will help his career in the future. Best friendships are stronger than that.
