Can I trust my trust a friend who suddenly want to date me?
I have this friend that I know for almost 3 years weve never been very close but 6 months ago we had both relationship problem (he broke up with his girlfriend) and we get closer, did a lot of stuff together (video games, phone calls) and a month or two later he told me he wanted to be more than friend. His feelings toward me changed so suddenly that I feel like a plan B that he was nice with me only to have someone to date in case things wouldnt get better with his girlfriend. I feel like I cant trust him.
@Hawktrain First, I think the big question is are you interested in dating him? If you are then, do you think thinking that you're his plan B is just a suspicion of yours or is it based on more things? Keep in mind that it's possible something specific triggered his feelings for you while you two were getting closer. It might not be just because he wants a girlfriend.
@Hawktrain He could have come to realize he was with the wrong person the entire time he was with someone else. OR it's less that you're plan b but rather the rebound. Only you can say and if you don't want to get into a relationship with him, that's perfectly fine and your right.
@Hawktrain
In my opinion, it is you who have been with him this all time. So you may know better what kind of person he is and if your memory is good, you can yourself decide if he has been really trustable since all this time or not. Sometimes, guys choose to build trust and comfort befire moving into a relationship.
Btw I have one question, which is " Are girls okay with getting into relationship with a guy whom they used to see as a trustable and genuine friend?" I am asking this because it is related to me and I have always heard that you can't get a girl by building trust, but it totally depends on attraction.
@gregariousLake4824 well you can yes. I prefer it this way so you get to know the person, you kinda see the
