Close friend really dislikes another close friend of mine

Hi:

I have two close friends who I have known for years and the two of them appeared to be friends for nearly 8 years. Nearly 4 years ago, one of them moved to another part of our city that's a very long drive from my part of the city. Since he has met new people, he has been acting differently with us. With my other friend, he recently made plans with this other friend on said date, a few weeks in advance for lunch. When it boiled down to things, he texted my friend and cancelled by saying he was meeting his dad. The next day, my other friend told me he found out that my did not go to his father's house and was seen on facebook eating lunch with his church group. When he other friend called him out, he was told that the church thing came up at the last minute and our other friend "Had to go," and then went to meet with his dad the next day in our part of the city. He also blamed the victim by accusing my other friend that "You need to understand that plans change.":

I thought he my other friend's friend but he's clearly not and I am mad at him.
