Going no contact with narcissistic friend
Most recently, I chose to go no contact with a friend who is narcissistic. Although he didn't get very far with me, I started noticing some toxic behavior. The biggest reasons are because I feel like his behaviors are annoying and because he lies all the time.
I was originally invited to a couple social events and I said no to both of them. At that point, he reached out and asked me why I could not make it. However, I attempted to ignore him which did not work. He not only attempted to contact me three times but also has gone to my other friends and asked them why I have turned down the last two events. Things got to a point where I blocked him which has only led him to keep bothering my friends while sending his flying monkeys.
One of them asked me if I was going to the party but I firmly said "I'm not going". The other one texted me and asked me how I was doing and he has never contacted me. So I ended up blocking them as well.
That sounds incredibly frustrating, but it also shows that you made the right decision. You don’t owe him an explanation, and honestly, even if you gave one, he’d probably twist it to make himself the victim. How are you feeling about it now? Relieved? Drained? Or still a bit unsettled?

Hi Cheery:
Honestly, I feel bad because I love this person because charismatic and likeable. That being said, it's on the surface. In reality, he's very toxic and I can't trust him. In the meantime, my relationship with him and his flying monkeys was also one-sided. While they were expecting me to bend over backward for them, they never seemed to have time to come to my things. All the while, some of those people were very flaky where you could be invited one minute and then have the invite taken away the next. Why? To have their own personal needs met.
As for how I feel, I was very annoyed at how he and his flying monkeys not only attempted to harass me but also attempted to contact my other friends. Then when I blocked them, I have been feeling peaceful about it. I think the main thing to do is not contact these people.
