How do you handle your guy's best friend?
How do you handle your guy's best friend, the one he runs to every time you have an argument, the one who advises him to leave instead of being helpful and encouraging him to work it out?
This "friend" is in his mid 40's and has never been in a relationship. He still lives at home, doesn't work, but acts like he is so intelligent on everything. My guy can't see through the fog and worships every word/idea that this guy has. It has caused major issues in our working through things as every time there is an issue, this guy's advice is for him to leave. Leave until I back down and come to MY senses.
Most arguments only require talking it through. But this guy's advice is to give me the silent treatment and leave the house to go hang out with him.
Is there any hope?
TIA!

Yeah could get this. A third party involvement when they dont have better knowledge and experience in the context, issues become worse. I could feel how hard it could be for you. However, probably you could try to have clear and better communication with your partner because a relationship is all about mutual efforts, trust, care and communication. But if its missing, it becomes hard to keep going in relationship. As I see you shared about this with us back in November, so I hope currently things could be going better for you.
