I am not a people pleaser

Again, I am not a people pleaser and I have a low tolerance for these kinds of "Friends who"

A. Make time for me and be there for you one minute but don't the next

B. Leave me at the bottom of their list while dangling the carrot and leading me on

C. Use me for things

D. Treat me like an after thought

I recently cut three people out of my life who did all of the above and I felt pretty upset.   I am also pretty outspoken and I ended up telling them off.    Meanwhille, they refused to take accountability are playing the victim by going behind my back and complaining to another mentor of theirs.

For instance, I tried being cordial with one of them last Friday only for him to yell at me. "You said mean things to me and I am still mad at you."  So when I went to talk to his mentor, "Well it seems you are having conflicts with a lot of people lately." "You're saying things and making other people cry"

Just writing about her just feels infuriating.

@Summershy

You are so right!

Relationships and friendships need to be equal.

The same time and effort put in on both sides 💙

@Amanda84

Thanks for the support.

Regarding the former friend who is mad that I said "Mean things to him," he started treating me like a lesser of a priority.    He also started making excuses. "I get to make my own decisions because I have my own life."  I also asked him to help me with something since he helped me with a similar situation in the past.   He was evasive by ignoring me so I eventually reached a breaking point and I snapped.

He also may not like it that I said those mean things but he dishes it up on others all the time.  So, that's rich!
