I don't know how to make friends at20 years old. What should I do?

I've always have trouble making friends in school. I feel at times lonely and fed up of this lifestyle of being alone at home. I have my parents who I love but can be lonely at times. I have social anxiety and always troubling to meet new people. Not sure what to do.
