So I met my friend who's a 28 year old female through work and I became a her friend and her mine. pretty close too. We used to talk quite a bit over the past year but recently we've been kinda distant. When we talked for a bit it seemed she is going through a lot with her depression and I wanna help her but I also think she just doesn't wanna talk to me due to some anxiety I have and a mind prone to overthinking.

She came out of nowhere and asked me to hang out and such but it's been a hell of time getting a hold of her. Granted I'm not the most experienced with friendships being homeschooled throught HS and having a overprotective mother who until I turned 18 (I'm now 19 going on 20) really let me go out to do stuff. So maybe I'm just handling it wrong I'd like some opinions please.

@Kaxama

Hello.

Give it time. Perhaps it will just take time to develop.

Perhaps you both need to set boundaries on the relationship in advance for it to develop. You might be able to think out the issues on both sides if you give it time.

If you have any particular concerns, it can be helpful to Google the question or topic.

For example, Google this:
