I have been feeling so lonely lately. I always have the need to please everyone, including my friends. I always put their needs and mental health above mine because it is what comes easiest to me. and lately I have been feeling like I can't really open up to anyone, A. My feelings aren't important and it will just be a burden on people and B. I don't want to cause anymore stress onto my friends. most of my friends and siblings have plans on Sunday and I don't and I know I'm gonna be having a hard time. I have to study for drivers Ed and I guess that is why, but I know it's gonna trigger loneliness and sadness for me and I know that I can't go to anyone, not even my best friend, to talk about it because I don't want to be a problem

@smolstrawberries

Regarding always helping others and pleasing them,

helping can be good but it's also good to be careful to

avoid the Dreaded Drama Triangle with people as explained here:

Consider stepping out of roles that disempower you, and cause drama and problems for you, and hold you back, and keep you stuck.

Regarding feeling like a burden,

there are many articles on the web that help explain how to overcome those feelings in a constructive way like in the search here

https://www.google.com/search?q=NOT+WANTING+TO+BE+A+BURDEN+TO+FRIENDS

Regarding "knowing you can't go to anyone",

perhaps that's fixed mindset thinking that has ruled out all solutions in advance. Growth mindset would focus on opportunities to reach out to people and find ways to overcome inhibitions in reaching out, and finding ways to reach out that are acceptable to one and others.

Regarding rumination, one can focus on what one feels grateful for instead.

Regarding focusing one's problems, one can focus on finding and trying solutions instead and feeling good from making small progress.

Regarding one's anxieties, one can write down a quick list of concerns and possible solutions to help relieve the anxiety and get the mind thinking about solutions. Also one can exercise and do Tai Chi stretching and breathing moves like explained here:

https://www.7cups.com/forum/HealthyLivingSupport_141/ExerciseandActivity_825/MOSTRELAXINGTAICHISTRETCHINGRELAXEDBREATHINGVIDEO_228938/

One can search the web for insights on all of those topics for good ideas and solutions that might help make things better quickly.

That's all I could think of. Hope that helps.

Please forgive any typos above.
