So do people (friends) ever contact each other just for the sake of catching up? Just to maintain the closeness?

The people I know (and I do consider them friends) only reach out to me when they have questions orwant something. I do the same but if I notice I haven't contacted someone in a while, I'll just hit them up and talk small tal if i got nothing urgent.

maybe its cos we're kinda grown up and everyone's busy. or the relationships are just implied. I'm in the early 20s catergory of people.

so is that normal? healthy friendships?

Hey @exampligratia, great question! I think each friendship has it?s own sets of quirks that make them unique! It?s great that you like to catch up with your friends every now and then just to check in with each other. I?m also in the same age group and have a lot of long-distance friends because I?ve moved a lot - and I still consider our friendships healthy even though we only talk every now and then. I like to think of each friendship as unique and irreplaceable - and if that is honoured on both ends of a friend relationship, or any relationship, you?ll be able to determine what you think is best for keeping in contact :)
