Why One Good Friend Is Enough

There is a lot of pressure to have a huge social circle, but I think having just one solid friend is enough. That one person to listen, laugh, or just hang out with makes life feel so much more manageable. I’m curious: what are your favorite low-key things to do with that one special friend? Let's talk about why quality beats quantity.

I completely agree. There’s so much emphasis on having a big social circle that people sometimes forget how valuable one genuine connection can be. One friend who accepts you without judgment, checks in on you, celebrates your wins, and stays through the hard days is worth more than a hundred surface level acquaintances. Some of my favorite low key moments would be things like grabbing a coffee, going for a long walk, watching a movie, sitting in comfortable silence, sharing musi, or just talking about life for hours. The activity itself isn't what makes those moments special it's feeling safe enough to be yourself without having to perform or pretend At the end of the day, quality really does beat quantity. Real friendship isn't measured by how many people know your name, but by who shows up when life gets difficult. If you have even one person who makes you feel seen, heard, and valued, that's something truly precious. Those kinds of connections are rare, and they're often the ones that leave the biggest impact on our lives. ❤️

I'd rather one friend I can trust who turns up for me, rather than a thousand superficial acquaintances 🩷🤗

Its true that instead of having a huge social group one should have that one person but is it actually possible? I have always been in a Close knit with my 2 best friends but somehow we have lost touch as we all live in different cities now thanks to adulthood . Now after becoming a new mom i am no longer added in the video calls nor being called for meeting in the pretext of taking care of my new born which is somewhat true.

But i guess before all this my favourite thing was to just hangout and chill , talk all night listening to each other stories until one of us dozes off
