We dated for few months and she wanted to marry me asap little did I know she was just out of breakup and I was a rebound. This she confessed after 12yrs of marriage and broke up didn't bother about my girl child now 10yrs. She found someone matching her vibe values intimate etc and moved on. No proper closure. We are now in divorce phase. I lost myself and feeling numb every time I wake up. I'm 36yrs and don't know how to rebuild myself.

@blueCup2515 I'm sorry, that's rough. I'm going through something similar so I understand how hard it can be. Do you have people in your life you can lean on during this time?

The numb feeling is totally understandable but these big life changes are a time to really find our self. It is ok to go thru many phases to reach your mind frame to see you will be OK and this is her loss. I know it will be hard to do while you may be helping your child get thru this too.

Please do not take her issues as a reflection on you.  she sounds like she is chasing something instead of being in touch this next phase may not work either.  Her choice to rush into marriage on rebound there must have been more there... as rebounds do not last that long.   it takes time when a long relationship ends to not try to second guess all the time.

She patiently waited for the time to move on!! She settled in Ireland, i literally had to spend so much for her studies and balance my own expenses. Now found guy from Belgium and started dating. What hurts most is the responsibility I have to take up for my child when she ignored and focused on her own enjoyment. I find hard to accept how a mother not attached to her own daughter.

It is the act of a selfish person.  some parents either side think only of their happy in a moment type thing will break apart a family thinking the grass is greener on the other side.  I think it is almost like being drunk ... some make poor choices and decisions in the moment and someday will wake up and see what they threw away chasing what feels good in the moment.

so many people seem to only want the first stage of a relationship the excitement they are learning about another the flirty fun which will settle to a routine too ....

They do not see the love and calm of ordinary days. they think it is their partner's fault, but it is them chasing a false limerence or excitement they think they are missing.
