Hey, thank you for being so honest and open. What you're feeling is so deeply human and you're not alone in it, even though it probably feels really lonely sometimes.

First, it’s okay that you didn’t want a relationship before. We all go through seasons in life where we protect ourselves in different ways. You stayed busy, you survived, you did what you needed to. But now your heart’s telling you something different it’s whispering that you're ready to connect. And that shift can feel terrifying. It’s like suddenly opening a door you've kept locked for years and not knowing what you'll find on the other side.

Dating is hard not just the logistics, but the emotional weight of it. It stirs up insecurities, fears of rejection, vulnerability, pressure, old wounds. You’re not failing at dating you’re just bumping into very real barriers that deserve compassion, not shame.

It makes sense that you’re nervous. You’re trying to let someone see you the real you and that’s one of the bravest, most vulnerable things anyone can do. And if you've been dealing with mental health struggles, it's even harder, because your mind can throw every "what if" and self-doubt at you just as you're trying to step forward.

That guy who's patient? It says a lot that you matched with someone who gets what you're going through. That connection matters. But also it’s okay if you’re not ready to meet yet. Just don’t close the door on it completely. You don’t need to force yourself into fast action; you can take baby steps. Maybe tell him how you feel. If he truly understands, he won’t push he’ll walk with you at your pace.

And please remember this: wanting love doesn’t mean you have to have it all figured out. You don’t need to be perfect or “ready” in some flawless way. You just need to be *you*, with your nerves, your heart, your mess, your hope.

You’re not behind. You’re just on your own timeline. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

You're worthy of love that meets you where you are. And it will come not in spite of your struggles, but sometimes because of them. Because love that’s real? It sees the cracks and stays anyway.

You're doing better than you think. You're growing. You’re trying. And that matters more than anything. 💛
