Absent husband and maturity gap

I was abused by my parents and never received love. But I am a tough cookie. I met this man and he was obsessed. I jumped into the relationship fast not because I love him more because his parents adore me as their own.

A few weeks after marriage, I realized I have been assigned as a role of substitute mother to a man child. Not only he is immature, but also an unpaid community servant. I've been neglected multiple times because his friends or extended families need him. When I tell him about what I am going through, he would make it about him.

I am tired and extremely lonely yet I don't have financial stability to get out of this marriage.

I am sorry you are figuring this out sometimes when a person wants out of a abusive or unhealthy family home we do not see clearly the situation we are walking into.  I can see how the family giving you the respect and love you missed in your own could cloud your honest judgement.

Do you feel marriage can be saved?  Do you think couples counseling or such may improve it?

If not take a deep breath and plan your way out... sometimes that would include creating your own income or some independence building.  I found building my own made spouse grow up  faster as he realized I was heading to the door.
