Advice
Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to this app and came here looking for advice I guess? Mainly looking for clarity.
Im in a relationship that I cherish so much and literally wanted to last for forever. But things happened unfortunately and I’m doing my best to navigate through these things but I’m finding it hard to do.
I guess what I’m looking for is knowing how some of you guys have gotten past infidelity in a relationship or how you got the clarity to know things weren’t gonna go back to how it was.
I really truly want to try to save this relationship and I know I wasn’t the one to do the stepping out so I shouldn’t be the one trying to fix it but yea idk. I just want to know how you guys were able to shut the noise out with all the overthinking and not trusting.

Getting past is possible but it takes some real honest communication. Not just with your partner but with yourself too.
Each case is different and I will say even past it there will be times it will pop in your mind. it is important to really deal with it all not just use it as weapon in a fight etc. real communication is vital. communication is not just talking it is intent listening and really taking time with it. not sitting thinking about what you will answer,,, but just letting their words really sink in. It will change your relationship.
The why was important to me and understanding all the things around it. I was moving past and seldom even thought about it. Years later the situation kind of reversed and I could understand better how easy it would be to cross a line.
If you want to save your relationship keep it between you and partner. Every person seems to have their opinion. all will repeat tired lines of "once a cheat = always a cheat" or "If it were me I would...."
Most people do NOT know how they will feel until it DOES happen to them. I do not wish it on others, but I have made it through a situation they have Never faced I do not need to hear what someone thinks they would do.
it is hard so you need to be clear of why you want to save it.
