Am I the problem?

Lately I have been feeling as though my needs are not being addressed by my partner. By needs I mean things like my love languages or proper communication. Every time I mention something about my feelings or thoughts he almost brushes me off in a way and turns it around as if I'm saying he isn't "doing enough" for me. All I want is to confide in the people I love about how I am doing mentally and as of recently, I don't feel like I can without causing a rift. I have been struggling a little with my mental/physical health because of the stress it has been causing me. I feel guilty for wanting to communicate with my own partner. It feels as though I am begging to have a connection with him, let alone tell him what's wrong when things happen or come up. It always ends up with him thinking I am pointing out his 'short-comings' or what he isn't doing right for me, how he isn't doing enough. It makes me sad, because he's aways there for me. Just lately it's been hard and I feel like I am at war with myself. I need help.

I can't ever help but think; Maybe I'm dumping my problems onto him. Maybe he's annoyed of me. Maybe I'm too emotional. Maybe I'm asking for too much.

I don't know what to do, I am at a dead end and I feel as though I can't fight anymore. I'm not upset with him, I'm upset with myself because I must have done something to push him away and cause the avoidance towards my feelings. Please help me understand what I can do to make the pain less, or if there's a way I can express how I feel without causing him to get defensive. Please.
