Am i the problem?

My partner (22M) and I (22F) patched back together after a recent breakup. The breakup was due to him not being respectful to my family (he made fun of my parents financial decisions and he believed that people are poor due to their bad financial choices. He never made those comments to my parents but to my face).

Long story short, we patched back after we were broken up for 2 weeks (to be honest it was more of like a "break" instead of a breakup) but i can't deny that i still feel some resentment towards him. When we patched back we both agreed to continue fighting for this relationship but there's a small part of me that is like detached.

Im wondering if i should continue fighting but i kept thinking if i should leave him. Am i self sabotaging my relationship? Should i keep fighting?

@nothingmuchjusttrying Hello Trying, and thank you for reaching out. That's a difficult path you've been on recently - break-up, then a tentative reconciliation. You've mentioned it felt more like a break than a break-up - do you feel that the issues that led to the split have been fully addressed? Would you feel able to bring these up with your partner? Do they share your anxiety around self-sabotaging, or do you feel it's entirely on you to 'make things right'? The resentment you're experiencing is very understandable - when we have lingering doubts, or feel that we're still in a position where nothing seems to have changed despite taking a break to gain perspective, it will foster resentment. I've linked to the 7cups guide to breakups, and it covers characteristics of healthy vs unhealthy relationships - this might be helpful to consider when deciding on a way forward.
