Annoyed Dad's using my "new" headphones for himself
Background:
The other month I thought that my current over-the-ear headphones were dying/failing. So i had Dad buy me another one. The one which he brought has a mike which he doesn't like. I only like fresh headphones because pre-used ones mean the jack can be worn out.
Story:
Over the past weeks I noticed Dad been using what I beleived was the 'new' headphones that he had brought for me. This wasn't confirmed until late last when when Dad left them out when he had gone to bed. I was really annoyed about that but Mom was like "you didn't buy it so what?"
Reasons Why I don't like that:
Dad has another pair he can use and also as I explained I don't like pre-owned ones because the jack can be worn out. Also he didn't like the mike so why is he using a headphone he doesn't like?
The other reason I don't like the fact Dad is using what was suppose to be *my* headphones when I thought my current one were dying is a reason I can't tell my parents- I actually had plans sort of for the mike- either using them to record my voice for YT videos w/ Video game videos. Or just practice speaking in general.
There's no guarantee that a "fresh" headphones might not have a mike.
Perhaps you could save up and do extra chores, so that you can get a brand new headphone set that is all your own.

@ScrabbleBrain I'm 35 year old woman. I never got an allowance at all in my life. I do have a lot of money. IT's just headphones are way t0o expensive for me to buy on my own and Dad's a cheapsteak and hates it when I use my debit card to buy anything. (books, food, etc).
