Any advice on drug vs natural weight loss journey struggles ?
We are both 30 and A year and A half ago, one year into our marriage we both decided to start our weight loss journey. We were dieting and going to the gym. I was seeing great results and my wife wasn’t. She then decide to start the new weight loss weekly injections a year ago. I considered it but with already seeing results and hesitant about a new drug was going naturally.I saw a change in her in unexpected ways it made her have suicidal thoughts along with cramps and sickness. During this time she sometimes came to the gym and skipped on the diet as well. She started to be unable to share the house work and I picked up on them. she changed medications and the suicidal thoughts stopped but her energy and intimacy decreased more than ever. I have been feeling terrible seeing her sick and not even losing that much weight and asked her to see the doctor and everything is fine medically. It’s been really hard on our relationship to be working so hard in weight loss and having the stress of the relationship not as strong as when we started this journey. We have had conversations about getting off the medication but it turns into an argument.
Anyone else going through something similar?

I think as you can contest to the satisfaction and accomplishment one feels in losing weight or any life change, when you do it on your own. I feel in time this medication phase will show .....like you have seen has unattended consequences. being ill / depressed or anything makes us think it is not worth it.
I think the couples thing always works that way when partner and i did things like workout together one had more success then the other one .... diets are NOT one size fits all ......as we found partner was successful at one type and i was on another type.
