Eventually, you may notice that certain behaviours from your partner are negatively impacting your relationship.

Hurt, insecurity.??

When the number of fights exceeds peaceful moments, it can lead to blaming the other person. When we start to argue, we often convince ourselves that the conflict is solely the other person's fault, implying that we are right and that they should agree with our perspective. This can create a dynamic where we negotiate and impose limitations on them.

However, you can change this direction by taking accountability for your own actions. It’s essential to practice curiosity with an open mind, allowing yourself to grow as a person. After all, nobody is perfect, and we all have areas in which we can improve. Engaging in open conversations with yourself about how your attitudes and behaviours may impact the relationship can help you pause and change course, especially when pride might be clouding your judgment.

It's important to recognise that emotions persist even in the presence of arrogance. Anger often leads to arrogance, doesn't it? We must remember how much the other person means to us and strive to encourage intimacy by allowing one another to be vulnerable. Having pride doesn't inherently make you a bad person; it often serves as a shield for deeper feelings of low self-worth and insecurity. If pride is adversely affecting your relationship, practising self-awareness may prove beneficial.

As we work on self-improvement, we may find ourselves walking the path alone, which can be quite painful. When the journey feels increasingly burdensome with each step, it's essential to remind ourselves of the reasons that motivated us to start this journey. This reminder might help ease our pain.

Step by step, habit by habit, you're building the life you d

@Lopa12

Easy in theory but a relationship is 2 people we cannot change someone else but all the work in the world on ourselves will not save a situation if the other person stays the same.

Hello @toughTiger6481,

Good morning! It’s great to hear from you. I want to clarify that I never claimed it's a one-sided effort in a relationship—it truly is a two-way street. However, sometimes it’s essential to focus on self-development if we want to maintain the relationship we’ve had. When one person puts in the effort, the other often recognises and appreciates it.

As humans, we sometimes fall into the blame game, especially when we’re unsure about whether we want the relationship to continue. If we genuinely want it to last, we need to let go of our expectations of what the other person should do. Ultimately, focusing on your own growth can lead to a positive outcome for both. 🤍
