Battle between Mom not missing choir vs. Overnights Home Alone want.
I been wanting for sometime I'm not sure how long, (more so, more recently) for Mom and Dad to go somewhere else for a couple of nights like they did back in October 2012. it would give me additional experience of being independent and alone overnight.
The problem is in 2021, Mom joined the last choir at church So it means she's goes to choir practice on Thursday nights. Not counting my two stays at the hospital, she never otherwise missed one day of choir practice, or of the actual choir on Sundays. Everyone else in the choir, takes time off from it to go places, like on a cruise, or some other vacation experience. Mom's basically the only one who doesn't, unless she has too, like if I'm in the hospital. So if I want a "October 2012" experience I have to wait until June when choir is over and that causes me at least 2 problems.
Problem 1:
I can't get myself out of the above-ground swimming pool, I can get myself in, but I always think that the ladder will move when I try to get out and without someone there to help me. get out (aka hold the ladder steady) it would be more tricky. Not to mention , I would have to be responsible to turn the pool off, and/or putting the chlorine pucks into the floaty chorine puck device Additional problem, without someone there, I wouldn't know what the time was ie: in the pool for an hour. If the pool's open I would want to swim in the pool when it's open it's the only exercise I really enjoy and it never becomes a chore unlike other exercises.
Problem 2:
If its in June and/or its hot, i wouldn't be able to cook on the stove unless it's happen to be a colder day vs in colder months I would be able too. so what in the world would I do about suppers? I can't have wraps for 2, maybe 3 suppers. And I can only have fast food once a month, and I want them mostly to be for lunches, not suppers. I could potentially have Taco salad, and have it made my way a way that hasn't been had in awhile. I can cook on the stove when it's colder, the only exception there is for cooking when it's hot is taco salad. Turning on a BBQ isn't an option because a)I don't know how too, and b) its propane not electric or something not to mention even if I could turn on the BBQ I'm afraid of c)being stung by wasps, after what happened to Dad, the other year. We do have a toaster oven, but for some unknown reason, I always been afraid of it, so I mostly try to keep away from it. I also don't want to have just microwave food for suppers. Microwave food for lunches are fine, but not lunches and suppers.
Lunch fruit's a bit easier to handle for the afternoon(s) they're away if Dad was to get me, a Fruit platter from Costco, and I can take the fruit i want out of it, and put them in a bowl, and add a banana or something.

It sounds like you really want that sense of independence, but there are a few things making it feel stressful and uncertain at the same time.
Maybe instead of waiting for the “perfect” situation, you could try starting small like having a shorter evening alone first and practicing things like meals or managing the pool with someone nearby if needed. For the food part, you could plan a few simple no-stove options you actually enjoy (like salads, sandwiches, pre-prepped meals), so it doesn’t feel repetitive or overwhelming.
You could also talk to your parents about this and plan it together so they can help set things up in advance (like stabilizing the pool ladder or prepping meals) and you still get that independent experience without feeling stuck or worried.

I don't want the perfect experience, I just want to have experience again (I haven't seen 2012) be Home Alone overnight. And 2 things have changed between 2012, and present.
1.I have to put eyestuff in at night and back then I didn't. Also if it's a full tube I can put it in by myself
2. I didn't know how to cook at all on the stove back in those days. I do know, for both one or 3 people.

Because of Mom's choir practices, I been making one-person suppers for myself on whatever day choir practice is since 2021, when she joined the choir so that's 5 years of practicing suppers.

I don't really want to have sandwiches as a supper option because I'm probably going to have a cheese sandwich most days for lunch. Unless we have cottage cheese in the fridge, or we have Babel, or Laughing Cow Cheese, where I might have cracks for lunch. Outside of Fruit, I don't want to use pre-pared meals for suppers. I actually like cooking, and I don't want to have to rely on prepared meals for suppers when Mom and Dad are gone. I want to actually still "cook", when they're out.
