Break up

i don’t even know where to start. everything hurts so much. i am not able to sleep, or eat in 4-5 days after my online ex broke up with me. we have been together for a year and a half, making plans to meet up in few months but i ruined it all. i can’t believe that he still broke up with me. it’s all my fault though. i understand why he did it, i never changed and i wish i did. he gave me so many chances but i messed it up, i wish we would’ve lasted forever i thought he was the one. we remain friends because he asked me to, i want to as well. it’s so hard to distract myself because every time i do my mind lingers back to him and the day of the break up. i always throw back up after i eat, i wake up in the middle of the nights feeling the ache in my heart once again, then everyday.. i hate seeing that he’s doing so much better than me, i wish he could ask how I was doing.. everyone tells me to just let go but I can’t just yet. he really made me happy. he changed my life. i don’t want to move on. i wish he could know how much I still love him, though i know we won’t ever get back together.!

@matchalinee

Please stop neglecting yourself.

Not eating.

And making yiurself feel worse.

Break ups are hard but you cannot take on all the blame.

And you cannot torment yourself checking in and waiting for him to reach out.

Online relationships can be very difficult because ultimately we never fully know what the other person is truly like.

Be gentle with yourself.

Take one day at a time.

Allow yourself to heal 💕💜

@matchalineeIt sounds like you’re in so much pain right now, like every part of you is aching after losing someone who meant the world to you. You gave so much of yourself to that relationship, and it’s heartbreaking that it ended when you still loved him so deeply.

The way you describe not being able to sleep or eat really shows how heavy this has been for you. It makes sense that your mind keeps going back to him  you shared so much and it’s hard to imagine life without that connection. Wanting to stay friends and still care about him shows how genuine your love was.

It’s okay that you’re not ready to move on yet. Healing doesn’t happen all at once, and it’s normal to still miss him and wish things were different. Be gentle with yourself , you’re grieving something that was really meaningful.

@matchalinee I feel exactly as you do, mine just happened to be a 30 year marriage and he now has new woman in his life and I feel like I’m dying.

I’m going through almost the exact same situation as you, online bf broke up with me last night after over a year. He’s healing, doing better and I’m infinitely happy for that, but it’s been causing distance to grow between us for the last few days up until yesterday because I’m still the same as before. I’ve been feeling headaches, nausea, sleeplessness and a horrible pit in my stomach and chest that hasn’t left since yesterday and I’m sure won’t leave for the next few days. What you have to remember though is that love conquers all, no matter what it is, sometimes it just needs a little time. That’s why you have to take care of yourself and allow love that time to work its magic, if not with him then maybe with someone else.

best wishes from Germany
