Caught Between Love and Reality
I’m in a complicated situation where I’ve developed a deep emotional and physical connection with a married woman. We both have strong feelings for each other and talk constantly, and things have gotten more intense over time. She has clearly told me she won’t leave her husband, but at the same time she says she can’t stop thinking about me and feels more connected to me than to him. Recently, her husband has started noticing changes in her behavior, which has made her anxious and scared. I feel stuck because I want more from this relationship, but I also know it may never happen. I’m emotionally attached, finding it hard to walk away, and it’s starting to affect me mentally. I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this without being judged. I’m trying to understand what the right thing to do is without hurting her or myself further.

I know it can be complicated.
People do feel so strong of a connection with someone who listens and talks to them about anything and everything. the fun of having someone like that is addictive. There are no complications or stresses of money/ and mundane life of work/ family bills etc. sooner or later the fun person we told all our stories or fantasies to has heard it all and discussions become what they were with previous spouse.
If a person is married or otherwise in a relationship and they have decided, they are not leaving...
To challenge the reality ......imagine some scenario when she would leave........ if you step in it is no longer a fun friendship but in the partnership role there are all details of making it real. Will their network friend / family maybe kids see you as someone who makes her happy or the person who broken what was. It really makes things seem clearer and helps what is often limerence fade.
@fairmindedBeechwood343,
you know what to do......
I'd be happy to talk

It's a difficult situation but likely the best solution for you would be to stop talking to her for a while so that she can reconnect with her husband. If you have an honest talk with her about this, maybe you can both agree on a solution that's best for her. This can leave you in a difficult, maybe sad place, but then it opens you up to be able to figure out your next move and opportunity. Best of luck.
