How do you forgive a cheater , if one truly loves you , will they / could they cheat on you ?

For me, I couldn't forgive because if they love you enough, they wouldn't cheat.
But some people can be given a second chance and prove themselves but I wouldn't make it easy for them, they'd have to earn it 💚

@here4youboo In my opinion there are so many different situations in which cheating happens, so I don't think there is one answer for all situations, but in general, at the end of the day we are all human, Temptation exists Hormones exists and a very sexualized society also exists, and these could be mitigating factors..
To be more precise I would need to have more information but in general forgiveness can only happen when there is enough love.. The cheater would have explain himself or herself, Give their reasons... and then you would decide, But if you truly love each other forgiveness can be a tool for moving on, given of course that this doesn't happen again...
In my very personal opinion, although I consider extremely valid the concept of commitment in a relationship, I also think that's Sex and feelings don't necessarily mix and when they don't, it's a little easier to forgive a sexual infidelity, committing from that point forward, to value and love each other
mistakes happen a lot more frequently than true love

it is in your definitions. Love has many levels and connections. Love is fragile and a living thing that takes work to care for. Love will be tested and sometimes simply it is not as strong as we think.
Too many seem to think " I would never " or "I could forgive" etc. may change their mind if they have to face it themselves. each case will be different.
